Imbolc is celebrated on February 1-2.
It is at the beginning of February, according to Celtic beliefs, that the Wheel of the Year turns to spring: and in early February it finds itself in the middle between the point of the winter solstice and the spring equinox. The name Imbolc comes from the word mblec, which is translated from Old Irish as "milk". And there is a beautiful tradition connected with this: on the spring holiday it is customary to "water" the earth with milk, like a newborn baby. Literally: pour milk into a hole dug in advance near the house.
